"Tisha is a very compassionate lady who is attentive to detail and knows how to help settle estates in a worry free way. I have referred families to her company and will continue to do so."

If you’ve ever lost a loved one, you know that it’s a tough time. When you hear the words “final affairs” – the funeral is just the beginning. There is an overwhelming list of things that have to be taken care of. There is a ridiculous and endless mountain of paperwork. Boxes of old papers, desk drawers stuffed with bills and cancelled checks. And someone is left wading through it, sorting it all out and taking care of it: dealing with banks and insurance companies, cancelling subscriptions, closing out accounts. It’s really the last thing anyone wants to do.
SO DON'T! That’s why we’re here, to take that burden off the family. Our professionals know the ins and outs and can navigate the complexities, frustrations and hidden potholes. We can take care of all the paperwork for the family… in a fraction of the time it would take them… so the family can focus on the most important thing. |
In loving memory of our dad, Tommy ~ 1936-2009
In 2009, Tisha's father Tommy moved from Texas to Arizona after his wife of 45 years passed away. He was a little nervous moving to such a big city but desired to be near to family. Larry and Tisha were excited to have him here.
Later that year, after 6 days in the hospital and 6 days with hospice, he quietly passed away with family around him.
At the time of his death, his estate documents were current and since Tisha had been his financial adviser for many years she wasn't concerned about closing his estate. She thought it would be a simple process. A few calls, a few letters, some paperwork and then a distribution of assets to the beneficiaries. She could not have been more wrong.
She drastically underestimated the emotional toll of the entire process. Because of her background she knew what questions to ask, what paperwork to request and a myriad of other things but she wasn't prepared for the emotions of the repetitive nature of the work. On top of it, the holiday season was upon her, she had a family and business that still needed her and she had other commitments to fulfill.
So, she decided to look for a company to assist her with this overwhelming task. After extensive research, Tisha discovered there wasn't a company dedicated to helping families during this difficult time. So, with the support of her husband, After the Fact - Final Affairs was created.
